THE WORKSHOP: “Trust your ears”

Phrasing like a jazz musician (includes improvisation for the faint of heart :) and  “Jazz Singer feedback”  Clinic.

FROM GRETA: Dear singers, let’s work on your jazz chops! Whether you’re interested in how to scat like a pro, or MORE LIKELY, interested in being able to simply stylize a tune with a bit of melodic or rhythmic variation, I have a unique approach that I want to share with you! In this clinic at Cathy’s studio,  I will spend the first 30 minutes working with you all as a group using my own special, fool-proof method get you more comfortable with general improvisation…which will get you more comfortable discovering new phrasing ideas for simply singing your songs. After that we will be joined by the fantastic pianist Dave Moscoe and I want to hear YOU sing a song of your choosing. Let me give you my feedback, critique and constructive suggestions on any subject YOU HAVE QUESTIONS ABOUT!
