About Cindy Scott & Brian Seeger
From New Orleans, vocalist Cindy Scott and guitarist Brian Seeger have been cultivating their magical musical connection for over ten years now. In that time, they have wowed audiences around the world, including concerts in Kazakhstan, Turkey, Mexico, and across the US and Europe. Their performances and songwriting embrace the sounds of the Great American Songbook, the music of New Orleans, Southern Soul, and Americana. Expect a wonderfully musical and personal journey which deftly carries their audience along with them. They obviously love what they do and sincerely believe in the transformative possibilities when performers get to share their art and craft in intimate settings.
Brian is a Professor of Music at the University of New Orleans, and Cindy is a Professor of Voice at the Berklee College of Music in Boston.
"Cindy and Brian presented a magical night of beautiful music combined with heartfelt storytelling that had our audience laughing, crying and singing through the entire concert.”
- Teresa Allen, Millbend Coffeehouse Series, The Woodlands, Texas
Cindy Scott sings with a breezy, sunlit style that belies her exacting vocal craftsmanship. Brian Seeger’s sensitive guitar is a perfect match, rippling like generous layers of sea and sky behind Scott’s voice as it reaches full sail. - Lawrence Cosentino, Lansing City Pulse
“With her lovely voice and presence, she radiates the joy of making music. Go hear her!”
- Karrin Allyson, Vocalist and five-time GRAMMY Nominee

"Laura Lee" (original). Music by Brian Seeger, Lyrics by Cindy Scott. Lyrics are based on letters that I had from an ancestor who fought in the Civil War. To me, it's a very soft anti-war song. My lyrics are from the perspective of the soldier who just wanted to go home to his loved ones. Too bad the letters were lost in the flood waters of Hurricane Katrina.
"Turnaround." Music by Ornette Coleman, Lyrics by Carolyn Graye.
