Be the band leader - A Workshop for a growing Jazz Singer

I’ve been a professional jazz singer since I was a young child.
I grew up with a dad who was a pro band leader, a singer mom, and my older twin sisters who sang and played piano.
So I became familiar at a young age, and absolutely deeply continued all thru my life.
To me, being totally involved in my life with this is the ultimate Life Lesson. Everything makes sense with how we want to live.
It’s a balance. It’s an education. It’s a respect.
I am happy to share this body of information with you! For me, it’s what I’m supposed to do in life!
And so, with a deep dive into this, in a user-friendly way…I invite you to participate in the special workshop,
which includes a knowledgeable and great pianist!
WHAT TO EXPECT:
1) Do I need to know how to read music? What are the basics that I need to know? - communicating with musicians like tempo; groove, intros, vamps, rubato, a tempo, form, outro, etc.
2) Repertoire -Chart or no chart (jam pieces?)
3) Do I need to be able to write the chart? How should the chart look?
4) Arranging: can I/do I need to, arrange the music the way I want it to go?
5) Can I change the arrangement in the moment? How do I do that?
6) Performance and Perspective choosing the musicians (duo, trio, etc.)
7) Vocal skills: Voice technique-how much do I need? Knowing Lyrics. Phrasing.
8) Improvising (should I scat or should I not scat?)
9) What should be expected at the gig? (Should I be there early? Sound check. Do I need a mic, cord, stands? Do I need a P.A.? Do I need to pay the musicians right after the gig?
10) Should I expect the venue to pay me that nite? Should I have a tip box? Etc.)
11) The Business: Getting the gig. Knowing what to ask for from the employer. How much
12) Should I pay the musicians? How do I promote?
